Can A Tropical Bird Survive In The Arctic? A Matter Of Temperament?

Can a tropical bird survive in the Arctic?

Can a penguin survive in the Topical Rainforest?

Go ahead.   Actually answer.  Don’t be shy.

The Answer

Of course NOT!

I don’t think it takes much explanation to know the answer to the question.

It’s about nature.

It’s All About Nature – DNA

It’s about DNA.

Yes, birds, like humans, have chromosomes, genetic code, and DNA.  And, like humans, they’re all unique.

So the tropical bird’s DNA is not suitable for life in the Arctic.

And, the penguin’s DNA is not suitable for life in the Rainforest.

By the way, it’s not that one is “right” and the other “wrong.”

Or that one is “bad” and the other is “good.”

It’s just that they’re different.

And, no one can judge them on their natural, innate, hardwired differences.

They are what they are.

Your DNA and Temperament Type

So, considering the tropical bird and the penguin, why on Earth would you think you can succeed trying to be someone you’re not?  Or consistently act like someone you’re not?

Or, consistently acting like someone you’re not?

Or, trying to fit yourself into things that are against your ingrained, innate, hardwired nature?

You don’t have to be a genetic scientist to know that you’ll always do your best when you’re doing things that are most natural for you.

Or, even if those things aren’t natural for you, you’ll do your best and be most comfortable, efficient, and successful with them when you do them in the ways that are the most natural for you.

The best and most natural ways for you to do anything are those that are defined in your Temperament.  (If you haven’t taken our Temperament / Personality Test, Click Here to discover some of your main strengths, traits, and characteristics.)

By Temperament Type, We’re Different And Unique

You already know the following things:

  • Some of us are outgoing…some shy
  • Some strong and assertive leaders….some lead quietly and by example…still others don’t lead at all.
  • Some are visionaries…some are detail people.
  • Some want to be in the spotlight…some prefer the background and shadows.
  • Some like to go out and socialize…some prefer to stay home and be by themselves.
  • Some make friends easily…some are more solitary.
  • Some love the city…others the country.

There’s no arguing about these things.  It’s obvious and true.

And, it’s all good.  We all have a place and have our own way of going through life and doing the things we do.

DNA Strand determines temperament type sanguine choleric melancholy phlegmatic
DNA Strand – the famous “double helix” that looks like a twisted ladder.

And, as with the tropical bird and the penguin, no one (including you) has a right to judge you for being what your nature imposes on you.

It would be like judging you for having blue eyes rather than brown eyes.  That would be ridiculous.  And, there’s nothing you can do about it anyway.

The color of your eyes is in your DNA.

Your whole Temperament is in your DNA, too – strengths, weakness, traits, characteristics, pace, priorities and much more.

Just like the tropical bird and the penguin, you’re impacted by your Temperament in everything you do in every moment of every day in every area and every aspect of your life.

Thus, we all have a unique place and have our own, unique way of going through life and doing the things we do.

Your Temperament, Your Failures, And Your Successes

Many, if not most of your failures come from trying to be someone you’re not.  Or doing things that are unnatural for you.  Like the tropical bird trying to be like a penguin and live in the Arctic. Doomed to failure from the get-go.

Or, you fail at things because you’re trying to do them in ways that are incompatible with our own nature.  Perhaps you’ve tried to solve some personal problems using your weaknesses (unknown to you that they’re weaknesses) rather than by using your strengths (which may also be unknown to you).

Success will find you if you live where you thrive – where things are most comfortable and easiest for you.

It makes no sense trying to do things in ways that make you miserable, whether it’s trying to live and be comfortable in the Arctic or the Tropical Rainforest.
